Lents Body Shop has been in the neighborhood for almost 50 years. It started in the back of a gas station on SE 83rd and Foster back in 1968. Over the years it moved two more times before making its way to its current location at 90th and Foster.
Jim and Dawn McCoy are the newest owners of Lents Body Shop. They purchased the business from Randy Dagel in April of 2016. Jim had previously been the General manager of Alpine Auto Body in Vancouver for 17 years before it sold to a larger Collision Repair Chain. Jim missed the small family run feeling and sought to purchase or open his own collision repair facility. It had been a goal of his for many years and Lents Body Shop seemed like the ideal fit for both. Randy Dagel was looking forward to retirement but it was important for him to keep Lents Body Shop a family run business in the Lents neighborhood. For Jim and Dawn, it was all about being able to run a business together with a team of hard working knowledgeable staff and Lents Body Shop was the precise match.
Today, Lents Body Shop continues to be a family run business providing quality auto body repair and paint for over 1200 vehicles a year. They strive to individualize care for each and every person who walks through the door while providing exceptional repairs. The team at Lents Body Shop works hard every day helping to assist customers with the insurance companies, getting into a rental while their car is being repaired or even providing you with a ride home if needed. Lents believes customers deserve exceptional service and quality repairs and is one thing they strive to accomplish each and every day.
